In 1994 I majored in Mathematics and Computer Sciences, but I actually started my studies in Civil Engineering for the first 2 years before deciding to major in Computer Sciences.
After graduation, I got my first job at a fast-growing multi-national company, where I proposed to relocate the Data Center to comply with industry standards and best practices. My boss at the time told me that he would let me do my project if I helped him in building an Office area in a vacant floor of the building to accommodate all the new people we were hiring.
Even though this was not my area of expertise, I welcomed the challenge. I created the floor plan, managed the construction, relocated the Data Center and implemented solutions like Warehouse Automation, Sales Force Automation, VoIP Telephony and many others.
Over the next 20 years, I was lucky enough to manage similar projects for several other leading local and multi-national companies that helped streamline critical business processes, save millions of dollars and allow them to gain a competitive edge in their vertical market.
At some point I decide to go into consulting, where I managed the design and construction of 2 medical offices, the last one completed in 2020 in Houston, TX.
